PECAT® Governor Riser

AD Series

These fittings are specially designed for use with above ground governor modules and eliminate the need for fabricated steel legs and transition fittings.

They provide an integrated PE system to be connected directly to the inlet and outlet flanges of the module.

FEATURE & BENEFITS

This fitting incorporates a steel puddle flange, enabling the fitting to be set firmly into a concrete base providing a secure anchoring point and preventing movement.

All above ground PE pipe is protected by a continuous outer steel sleeve in accordance with IGE regulations.

Additionally, alignment with the governor module is guaranteed as the distance between the puddle flange and the connecting flange is uniform for all sizes within the range.

CONSTRUCTION

Main body and PECAT sleeve: Mild steel ST52.0 DIN 1629

Puddle flange and outlet flange: Mild steel plate to BS 4360/43A.

Corrosion protection: A grey fusion bonded epoxy coating for main body, PECAT sleeve and puddle flange. The outlet flange is zinc plated and passivated.

INSTALLATION

Fittings are supplied factory assembled with a PE tail ready for fusion jointing into the supply pipeline.

PECAT® Flange Adaptors

BN Series

Provides a high strength transition fitting for connecting polyethylene gas pipe to flanged apparatus including pipes, valves and flanged equipment.

Comprising a PECAT joint with corresponding PN16 raised face flange. 

CONSTRUCTION

Main body and PECAT sleeve: Mild steel tube to ST52.0 DIN1629

Flange ring: Mild steel plate to BS 4360/43A

Corrosion protection: (Gas) zinc plated and passivated (Water) fusion bonded epoxy or nylon coating

INSTALLATION

All PECAT flange adapters are supplied factory assembled with 0.5/1metre PE pipe, suitable for jointing by butt-fusion or an electro-fusion coupler into a system. Loose backing rings allow for easy alignment with mating PN16 flanges.

PECATADAPTOR

BR Series

PECATADAPTOR

Provides a transition between existing steel, ductile, spun iron or PVC piping and polyethylene pipe.

The PECATADAPTOR utilises the PECAT jointing system in conjunction with the wide range bolted flexible MaxiFit joint.

FEATURE & BENEFITS

The depth of the Maxifit end allows for some angularity on the steel pipe, making it easy to install and allowing for pipeline movement such as ground settlement.

The fitting, which is supplied complete with 0.5 metre PE 80 tail, replaces two back-to-back flange adapters which would normally be used when making such connections. This reduces the likelihood of leakage and reduces stockholding and installation costs.

INSTALLATION

The Maxifit end of the Pecatadaptor is simply slipped over the end of the ferrous or PVC pipe (no disassembling required) ensuring that the whole width of the seal is in contact with the outer surface of the pipe. The bolts are then tightened in sequence to the recommended torque rating.

PECAT® Base Plate Transition

PECAT® Base Plate Transition

Provides a high strength transition fitting allowing connection of polyethylene gas pipe above ground within a metering installation or to an external steel riser.

Comprising a PECAT® mechanical joint, factory assembled with straight length of PE pipe terminating with a corresponding BSPT threaded outlet.

PECAT® Valve Flange Adaptors

PECAT® Valve Flange Adaptors

This fitting provides a connection, with steel extension piece, from polyethylene to flanged pipes, valves and equipment.

The fitting has been specially designed to prevent the valve operating torque being transferred to the PE pipe during opening and closing.

FEATURE & BENEFITS

The typical design features both a 25mm (1”) pressure point and a 50mm (2”) purge point. The pressure point features a PN16 or ASA flange to match the main flange. This allows for accurate monitoring of mains pressure – especially useful in a situation where a section of main has to be shut off for repairs. The flanged purge point facility permits the connection of a bypass to divert the gas flow around a section of main or across a valve, which may be necessary when carrying out repairs.

Each fitting is supplied painted and fitted with a boss to which can be connected a cathodic protection terminal.
